$40 Government-funded Digital to Analog Converter Box Coupons

This is great! I've finally had my conspiracy theory validated by the fact that the government is handing out coupons to make sure the population continues to be brainwashed, and distracted from their true potential, and dosed with radiation with their television sets. I wouldn't doubt if there's tiny cameras or micophones inserted in these boxes to make sure the government has even more control over life inside our retreats we call home. DON'T DO IT!!!

"At midnight on February 17, 2009, all full-power television stations in the United States will stop broadcasting in analog and switch to 100% digital broadcasting. Congress created the TV Converter Box Coupon Program for households wishing to keep using their analog TV sets after February 17, 2009. The Program allows U.S. households to obtain up to two coupons, each worth $40, that can be applied toward the cost of eligible converter boxes."

I was at Brandsmart to buy a washing machine a couple weeks ago, and as I was standing by the entrance to the docks, waiting for my turn, I watched one television after the other being carried out those doors. This television thing is getting seriously out of hand and needs to be stopped. If anyone is interested in joining my petition to ban television in public places, please speak up. I know it's not a total solution, but it's a start.

Get rid of the televisions, people, and start living a real life! At the very least, please turn them off for even one weekend, and you will see that you will actually connect to the people in your life. That's all it will take to convince you.

And by the way, wouldn't it be great if the government handed out a couple $40.00 coupons for something that actually added to the quality of our lives, like:
