LAWS OF LIVING A SIMPLE LIFE
One of the ways to get more in touch with Planet Earth is to simplify your life. Simplifying actually eliminates over-consumption of goods, which in turn, saves valuable resources, and slows the leeching of poisons into the environment. Simplifying creates a feeling of "lightness" and creates more time to spend on things you really want to do. Simplifying creates more time, because resposibility of "stuff" is time-consuming.LAWS OF LIVING A SIMPLE LIFE
1. Wear natural fiber clothing, it allows the skin to breathe. Go naked whenever you can, especially during sleep-time. Skin is the largest organ of the body. Let it breathe...
2. Air dry clothing after washing. Your clothes will last longer and hold their color longer, and keep that new look longer. The dryer is a huge drain on energy resources.
4. Pace yourself in life. Rushing anywhere is not healthy for the mind, body or spirit. Keep thoughts in the present moment as often as humanly possible. Absorb the beauty that surrounds you to recharge your internal battery.
5. Don't use toxic products for personal care. Fingernail buffing can be substituted for nail polish, and henna can be used instead of hair dye. A deodorant stone can be used in place of anti-perspirant. Use natural or organic lotions and oils. The skin absorbs whatever you put on it. don't pollute the systems & organs of the body and you won't pollute the planet!
6. Consume raw/living foods whenever possible. Living food creates clarity and health of the mind/body/spirit. Raw/living food is usually sold in little or no packaging, it can be bought locally, and any waste can be put in the compost bin.
7. Start composting.
8. Recycle everything recyclable.
9. Turn off the T.V., or better yet, sell it. It gives off radiation, and fragments the human energy field. If you do watch T.V., skip the "news", which is an inflator of negative energy. When not using it, unplug it from the wall, T.V.s are powerful emitters of radiation even when turned off. Unplug all electrical appliances when not in use for the same reason.
10. Get rid of your microwave. It gives off radiation. see #9.
11. Replace fluorescent lighting with full-spectrum lighting. It gives off radiation. See #9-10. It has also been shown to cause irritability and hyperactivity in children, and stress in adults, and fatigue in everyone.
12. Listen to music.
13. Eat organic food.
14. Think twice before buying something. Decide if you really need it before the purchase.
15. Don't make decisions based on money.
16. Find your joy in life and do it whenever possible.
